POSITION SUMMARY:
To ensure timely, accurate funding of new loans
on warehouse banks, manage warehouse transfers, communicate with warehouse
banks and provide service to branches relating to loan funding. Support the
funding and loan accounting department in accounting for funding entries,
processing MI payments and other responsibilities as assigned.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:
This position acts as a direct assistant to V.P.
of Secondary Marketing. Responsible for all activities regarding operation of
lock desk including, but not limited to, locking of loans, extending or
re-locking loans as requested by brokers or account executives, pricing program
scenarios, entering and updating trades in Data Trac, and various other
projects.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following job functions are not
all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related
tasks/responsibilities requested by the supervisor. Job duties may change as
required by needs of company.

Locks loan interest
rates received from brokers via web trac and through phone calls.
·
Changes locks as needed
due to changes in parameters or programs.
·
Extends or re-locks
loans as requested by broker or account executive.
·
Assists Account
Executives and Underwriters in making changes to loans already locked, ie:
adjusting loan amount, apvs, property type, occupancy and product codes.
·
Assists brokers and
account executives in pricing scenarios or helping select an appropriate
program for their borrower.
·
Lock in loans with
investor and communicate lock confirmations back in a timely manner
·
Enter and update trades
in Data Trac.
·
Daily tracking of hedge
position in market via excel report.
·
Update web site with
turn times of each branch and “market snapshot”.
·
Reconcile trades made by
V.P. against dealer confirms.
·
Process of Assignments
of Trade
·
Audit rate sheets and
notify President and V.P. of discrepancies.
·
Enforcing secondary
marketing lock policies
·
Assisting in loan sales
to different investors
·
Various pricing projects
as assigned by V.P.
·
Other duties as
assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a high school degree or
equivalent with 1 – 2 years mortgage banking industry experience a plus. This
position requires excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional
attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate work, the
ability to manage time, multi-task, prioritize work in a high paced environment
with heavy volume of transactions, and ability and experience handling
deadlines. Additional qualifications required include a solid commitment to
customer and employee service, outstanding interpersonal and problem solving
skills, and incumbent must possess the ability to work in both a team and individual
environment. Position also requires proficient computer knowledge including MS
Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Explorer. Incumbent must be able
to use independent judgment skills to make quick decisions within written
policy and standard operating procedures.
